Box Equities, a leading NYC-based industrial acquisitions specialist, announced the acquisition of a 275,000 square foot Carrier Transicold manufacturing & distribution facility located at 700 Olympic Drive in Athens, Georgia.

The newly acquired building is 100% leased to Fortune 200 company, Carrier Global (NYSE: CARR) and serves as the headquarters and sole manufacturing & distribution facility for Transicold, Carrier’s cold transport subsidiary. Carrier Transicold has been a tenant at the facility since 1987 and employs over four hundred manufacturing and corporate employees at this location.

The Athens submarket, located just twenty miles from I-85 and 30 miles from I-20, offers unparalleled accessibility to the City of Atlanta and the Port of Savannah. The strategic positioning of this facility enhances its logistical value, making it an ideal hub for distribution and manufacturing operations. In addition, the submarket benefits from a deeply entrenched labor pool that draws from several technical colleges in the region.

This acquisition is a significant milestone for Box Equities, reinforcing a commitment to expanding their portfolio of cold storage and cold storage-related assets.
